Week 2!
Hi everyone!
Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone has had an awesome start to the week and is looking forward to a spirited weekend ahead.
Riptide started their season with two great meets. Our A meet against Parklawn resulted in 123 season best times! Our biggest drop of the morning goes to Wyatt Shaeffer, who shaved off almost 9 seconds in his 25 backstroke! Congratulations to Wyatt and to all of our A meet swimmers.
Monday night, we topped our best time count with 124 best times and some awesome racing. Additionally, the Riptide brought some of the most spirit I have ever seen at a swim meet! Everyone did a phenomenal job not just hyping up their teammates, but the Oakton swimmers as well. Our biggest time drops of the meet go to Heartly Kelly, who dropped nearly 29 seconds in her 50 freestyle and 14 in her 50 backstroke! I am super excited to see what everyone will do these next two meets.
Over the past week we have some swimmers who have completed the Riptide Challenge. Please congratulate the following swimmers!
