Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday and happy last day of school! It has been a great start to our season so far, and I have loved getting to welcome all of our swimmers back on deck.

Time Trials this past weekend was a huge success. We welcomed 15 new swimmers to our team and saw some great time drops! To highlight some of our swimmers from this past week as our first Riptide Rockstars of the season:

• Morgan Hawkins
• Henry Thur
• Noah Bange
• Esther Richardson
• Edward Livingston

This week we will have our first A meet against Parklawn, and our first B meet against Oakton. We have built some great momentum, and I am excited to see what our swimmers will accomplish. A few things going in to these two meets.

• Declarations for A meets
  • Please make sure you are declaring your available for Saturday A meets by the Tuesday that week. We start working on the line up after Monday night B meets, and cannot add swimmers in unless they are declared as available. Please take some time to make sure you are declared for future meets
• B meet sign ups
  • We will start chatting with swimmers today about what they should sign up for in the B meet. The goal with these conversations is to work with each swimmer to set goals for the season, chat about their progress, and help them piece together their Monday nights. Please let me know if you have questions about this and I will help where I can!
• Meet theme for Saturday AND Monday
  • Due to some delays with the Hawaiian shirts, we will be switching our Spirit theme for this upcoming weekend from Luau to Western. We will have our other themes coming up otherwise!

Otherwise, we will start morning practices on Thursday! Please remember to check when your group is, as the times are new this season. Please also make sure to arrive a little early (5-10 minutes is always a safe bet), and that swimmers are bringing a water bottle (with their name on it), especially as it will be warm in the morning
